Gusto Payroll Certified

What it is

Gusto Payroll Certification is Gusto Academy's payroll course for accountants and bookkeepers, ending in a certification. Gusto is registered with NASBA as a continuing-education sponsor, and the course carries 4 CPE credits. It's built around running payroll for clients on Gusto.

How we run Gusto payroll for you

Our payroll service is built on Gusto. Gusto handles the processing, direct deposit and the tax filings. We handle everything around it:

• Setup or takeover. New Gusto account, or we take over the one you have: employees, bank connection, federal and state tax settings.
• Pay runs on your schedule. W-2 employees, 1099 contractors, or both.
• The sync to your books. The Gusto-to-QuickBooks mapping is where payroll books often go wrong. We map wages, employer taxes, benefits and reimbursements to the right accounts, by department or location if you track them.
• Reconciliation. Payroll liabilities reconciled to zero each cycle, so a missed tax payment shows up in weeks, not at year-end.
• Year-end. W-2s and 1099s reviewed before they go out.

Gusto or QuickBooks payroll?

Daniel is certified in both, so we don't have a horse in the race.
