Daniel Cope graduated from A2X Certification for Accountants and Bookkeepers in September 2026. A2X is how we get Shopify, Amazon and other marketplace payouts to match the deposits in your bank account.

Marketplaces don't pay you sale by sale. Shopify, Amazon, eBay, Etsy and Walmart batch your sales, take out fees, refunds and adjustments, and send one net payout. That deposit never matches your sales, and if it goes into the books as "revenue," your sales are understated and your fees disappear.
A2X fixes that. It pulls each settlement from the channel and posts one summarized entry to QuickBooks Online or Xero, with sales, refunds, shipping, fees and taxes each mapped to its own account. The entry totals exactly what hit your bank, so it matches the deposit in one click. Our explainer, what is A2X, walks through it with an example.
A2X's certification program for accountants and bookkeepers trains professionals to set A2X up for clients and run it month to month, including connecting sales channels, mapping settlements to the chart of accounts, and reconciling payouts in the accounting software. Daniel graduated on September 18, 2026.

Shopify, Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Walmart, PayPal and BigCommerce, among others. It posts to QuickBooks Online and Xero, and also supports NetSuite and Sage.
Payouts are net of fees, refunds and adjustments, and a single payout can cover several days of orders. A2X breaks each payout back into its parts so your books show gross sales and the fees separately.
If your volume is low, a monthly summary entry can work. Once you have steady order volume, refunds or more than one channel, A2X usually pays for itself in reconciliation time and accuracy.
